Partnerships

We consider collaborations that fit a curious, context-minded publication about design across places and cultures. The subject and terms should be clear from the outset, and readers should be able to recognise partner material.

Possible collaborations

We may consider clearly defined collaborations such as a commissioned design explainer, a themed editorial series, or a partner link placement relevant to design and visual culture. Proposals should name the intended subject, audience, format, timing and any requested placement or association. We do not promise acceptance, coverage or a particular response.

Partner placements

Relevant partner links may be considered in designated partner areas across the site. They are identified as partner placements so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial recommendations. Placement does not imply that a linked organisation has been reviewed or endorsed by Global Design Journal.

Editorial separation

Paid or partner-supported material is labelled clearly where it appears. Partners may provide information and review factual details about their own work, but payment does not buy control of independent editorial decisions or a favourable conclusion. We decline proposals that mislead readers or do not fit the publication.

Send a proposal

Use the Contact page and select the partnership option. Outline the idea, proposed format, relevant organisation or project, expected terms and any placement requested. Clear proposals help us assess whether a collaboration suits our subject and readers.

Our point of view

Design makes the world legible

A small detail can tell a bigger story about use, place and culture. We slow down to notice the choices behind designed things.
